Today, October 1st, International Coffee Day, our Lipomo headquarters transformed for the morning into a competition stage. The first edition of the Milani Cup took place, a competition by Caffé Milano dedicated to the talents of tomorrow in the world of coffee!
International Coffee Day is, for those who work in this sector, an opportunity to tell the world about the value of a daily ritual: ecosystem, environment, history, culture, conviviality, technology, aromas, and scents all enter the small space of a cup every time we drink an espresso. Of all the worlds that converge into this beverage, this year Caffé Milani has chosen to value and invest in young people. Because the quality of coffee does not pass itself down!
With a series of tests dedicated to students from hospitality schools, the Milani Cup aims to build a real bridge between the world of school and the professional world, to train future coffee masters in high-quality coffee service.
A special guest, none other than Italy's best barista: Matteo Colzani, winner of the latest national edition of Espresso Italiano Champion. An example of passion and study, which can inspire young people to cultivate an interest in the art of coffee preparation.
Schools in competition
Competing at the counter at our Lipomo headquarters were students from various local hospitality schools:

Thanks to all the students who took part, to the teachers who accompanied them, and to the jury who evaluated each test with an expert eye. The first edition of the Milani Cup ends here, but Caffé Milani’s commitment to investing in the training of new generations and in the local area continues.
