Caffé Milani: the events for Lake Como Creativity Week and International Coffee Day
From September 28 to October 4, 2026, the Lake Como Creativity Week returns, the widespread event of Como UNESCO Creative City, promoted by the Municipality of Como and the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce. For seven days, the Como and Lecco territories become a shared stage, where institutions, businesses, schools, and cultural organizations collectively tell the same story: that of a district that has made the Culture of Doing its distinctive feature.
Exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances: different languages, the same underlying theme. The theme of this third edition, not by chance, is Threads of Creation - threads that intertwine, overlap, telling the story of a stratified territory rich in history. Caffé Milani enters this narrative with a double event: Milani Cup and Milani Tour.
Milani Cup: a challenge between future coffee masters
On October 1st, also on the occasion of International Coffee Day, Caffé Milani has a special event in store dedicated to schools in the Como area.
The Milani Cup is the first Caffé Milani competition dedicated to tomorrow's talents in the coffee world. The protagonists will be students from various hotel institutes in the area (CFP Como, CFPA Casargo, and Centro Studi Casnati), called to demonstrate technique, creativity, and professionalism in a challenge that celebrates coffee culture and the value of training.
The competition will feature the preparation of espresso, cappuccinos, and coffee-based drinks: from extraction to milk frothing, from presentation to the balance of flavors. Each test will be evaluated by a jury of experts, who will award precision, technical quality, and creativity.
More than a competition: the Milani Cup is a bridge between school and the world of work, an opportunity for growth and visibility for students, and a concrete way for Caffé Milani to invest in the new generations of Italian coffee.

It doesn't end there! The Milani Cup is the first stop, but not the only one. Among the manufacturing excellences of the Lake Como district called to present themselves to the public during the Lake Como Creativity Week, we also bring ours: almost 90 years of coffee culture, from bean to cup.
Our tribute to the local Culture of Doing includes the extraordinary and free opening of our museum space dedicated to coffee production and history, a guided journey through the Caffé Milani Exhibition. This time, with an exclusive opportunity: to witness live the roasting process, the beating heart of everything we have been doing for almost a century.
