The art exhibition that celebrates coffee

La mostra d’arte che celebra il caffè
EventiSep 26, 20233 min read

Starting Sunday, October 1, 2023, the On International Coffee Day , coffee and art will meet in our company spaces for an exhibition, “Expressions of Coffee,” the result of a collaboration with the Centro Studio Casnati, which features over 30 graphic works and illustrations related to the world of coffee.

The goal is to unite the corporate and coffee worlds with the educational and artistic fields, creating a synergy between these two seemingly distant realities, yet united by a passion for creativity and excellence.

Portraits that tell the story of coffee and its supply chain

A project organized like a story, which unfolds across the three floors of our Caffè Milani Exhibition : Each area of the building is dedicated to a different theme. It begins on the ground floor, with works on the coffee supply chain, from the plant to the moment of consumption; it moves to the first floor for design works and sculptures; and concludes on the top floor, where exhibits depicting the production countries, the lands where green coffee comes from, are displayed.

The students explored the topic of coffee in both public and private contexts, as A means of conviviality and a ritual , consumed at the bar or at home. This research began with our briefs and was developed by leaving the analysis and research phases in the hands of the students, through individual papers or group work.

The exhibition showcases the works of second-, fourth-, and fifth-year students, who had the opportunity to express their artistic vision through a variety of media, including graphics, photography, sculpture, and painting. This allowed them to work with a variety of tools and techniques to expand their scope and tell the story and goals of our brand.

Coffee seen through the eyes of the new generations

The world of coffee is still an unexplored world for the majority of high school students, who begin to explore it during their high school years. discover the coffee ritual in the morning at breakfast, or during recess. For this very reason, Monica Sampietro, project coordinator, states that for the participating students, it was an interesting way to approach art in a more concrete way and, at the same time, to understand coffee in all its aspects, not just as a beverage but throughout life. journey from the plant, to the beans, to the cup .

For us it was a pleasure to resume the dialogue with the students, as we had done in the past for other projects, the most recent one last year on the occasion of the company's 85th anniversary. – he says Elisabetta Milani, marketing and communications manager of Caffè Milani . – And even more interesting and stimulating was observing the final result, the works of the young people, who with their creative vision have given a new life and an innovative narrative to the historical journey of coffee. This exhibition is the culmination of a journey whose goal was to bring seemingly distant worlds—the corporate world and the scholastic world, the world of coffee and the world of art—to dialogue and find common ground.
